Hunter Douglas is a multi-national sponsor of Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to eliminate poverty housing worldwide by providing homeowner/partner families with an opportunity to invest "sweat equity" into the building of their own home, assisted by volunteers. Habitat has grown over the years to become one of the top 20 builders in the country despite its mostly all-volunteer workforce.
